Kazu Yanagawa is vice president of the Materials Control Group for DENSO Sales California, Inc. (DSCA), the Long Beach-based affiliate of Japan-based DENSO Corporation. He oversees the Materials Operation, Inventory Control, Procurement, Logistics, and Kaizen (continuous improvement) departments.

Yanagawa joined DSCA in 1985 as a member of Procurement Department. In 1987, he transferred to the Production Control Department to support various production operations. Yanagawa moved to the Materials Management Department in 2003 as senior manager. In August 2006 he was named vice president of the Materials Control Group.

Yanagawa is an active member of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). A native of Tokyo, Japan, Yanagawa moved to the United States at the age of 13. He is married with three children and resides in Torrance, Calif. He is an ocean fishing enthusiast and enjoys golfing and building model cars and airplanes.
