What is it?

DENSO, Ford Motor Company and NextEnergy have teamed up to study the benefits and challenges of a vehicle designed for sharing. In partnership with the University of Michigan – Dearborn we are offering student residents of The Union at Dearborn the opportunity to help shape the vehicle of the future.

How does it work?

You drive the vehicle.
Study participants will be chosen from a pool of applicants. They will have access to a set of three fully-electric Ford Focus vehicles (parked in designated spots with charging stations) that can be reserved for use on a day-to-day basis to run errands, meet friends for dinner or even catch a concert downtown.

We record the experience.
Over the course of the study, MDrive will gather data on your experience via video recordings, user surveys and user discussion boards.

Then we present the results.
The study’s findings will be showcased by DENSO and Ford at the 2017 SAE World Congress in April 2017.
It’s that easy!
