On behalf of the students, teachers and volunteers who participate
in the Rouge Education Project and the Friends of the Rouge
team, thank you for your generous contribution to this important
program.
As the exclusive sponsor of three Southfield public schools,
the support from DENSO International America will ensure that
these students and their teachers receive the training, equipment
and resources they need in order to successfully continue
in the project.
In addition, as the sole supporter of the Rouge Education
Project's two major Water Quality Monitoring workshops, DIAM
is not only providing support to schools in its headquarters'
city, but also to schools in the 47 other communities located
in the watershed. Support of these major workshops encourages
one of the most important facets of the project: to create
a collaborative environmental education program that is watershed
wide.
Improvements in the environment lead to improvements in public
health and quality of life. Improvements are made when citizens
take an interest in their environment. The Rouge Education
Project reinforces that this process of improving the environment
can be fun and that taking care of our small portion of the
planet is important. DIAM's support of this program demonstrates
that this is important to your organization as well.
Thank you,
Courtney Shosh
