Partnering for productivity

Selangor, Malaysia - Selangor is Malaysia's most populated and prosperous state with a diversified economy ranging from agriculture and industry to commerce and tourism. To continue that growth and help achieve Malaysia's Vision 2020 to be a developed country, DENSO Malaysia SDN. BHD. (DNMY) partnered with the Selangor State Government and six other companies to form the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC).The SHRDC is a non-profit training organization providing technical and information technology training programs to develop skilled manpower for the nation's industrialization program.

After eight years, more than 15,000 trainees - including DNMY associates sponsored by the company - have completed educational courses such as industrial automation, industrial electronics, mechanical engineering, AutoCAD and human resources. These trained graduates are helping to alleviate a shortage of skilled workers in Selangor, especially in the area of manufacturing.
