Automotive Deutschland GmbH (DNDE)

Germany has it all—big cities,
picture postcard small towns, harvest festivals, Christmas
fairs, a wealth of art and culture, forests, castles,
fine wine, beer and plenty of good food. And while Germany
upholds and cherishes its cultural traditions (many
hunters still wear green and master chimney sweeps wear
pitch-black suits and top hats), it’s also one
of the most modern and industrialized countries in Europe.
In 1984 DENSO Automotive Deutschland
GmbH (DNDE) was established in Munich in the south of
Germany/Bavaria.

In addition to the development of air
conditioning for vehicles, sales of starters, alternators,
sensors, emission control components and engine management
system components, DNDE also houses extended testing
facilities. As a matter of fact, this year DNDE began
an expansion of its testing facilities. Once the expansion
is finished, the testing facilities will have nine test
chambers and benches as well as one wind tunnel.

Manufacturing Italia S.p.A. (DMIT)

The town of San Salvo, Italy, site of DENSO Manufacturing
Italia S.p.A (DMIT), is situated on the top of a hill
which leads to the Adriatic Sea. Its mild climate, natural
beauty, blue seas, golden sands and culture and art
make San Salvo one of the most beautiful tourist destinations
in central Italy.

San Salvo owes its beginnings to the Benedictines who
settled in the area in the second half of the 8th century,
and you can get a sense of the area’s history
if you visit the National Archeological Museum with
its display of Roman and other artifacts.
Now, however, San Salvo means development ,progress
and industrialization. Perhaps that's one of the reasons
why DENSO decided to move into this area of the country.
In April 1999, DENSO acquired an 80 percent share of
Magneti Marelli S.p.A.'s Rotating Machines Division.
That acquisition included DMIT, formerly called Magneti
Marelli Manufacturing S.p.A.

| DENSO Sales Sweden
AB (DSSE)

In addition to being the home of DENSO
Sales Sweden AB (DSSE), Gothenburg is Sweden’s
second-largest city and a major commercial and industrial
center. Gothenburg manufactures Hasselblad cameras,
paper products, fabricated metal products, motor vehicles,
processed food, mineral oils and refined petroleum.
There are large shipyards and fisheries, two universities,
museums and parks, one of the most modern opera houses
and one of Sweden’s largest sports stadiums.

But you can also find a small-town
atmosphere and green woods without having to travel
too far from this industrialized city.
DSSE keeps its associates busy selling
engine management systems, security systems, and electrical
and electronic components as well as providing testing
and development and application engineering for engine
management systems.
