Going for the gold
DENSO Manufacturing Michigan (DMMI) associates Nathan Ndjiharine, Machine Design, and Kolene Hall, Human Resources, take advantage of the 4,200-square foot recreation center on campus. Because of the recreation center and DMMI’s other healthy workplace efforts, the company received a Gold Healthy Workplace Award from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.

DENSO Manufacturing Michigan (DMMI)—
DMMI puts a high emphasis on associate health, both on and off the job, and it shows.

DMMI recently received a Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports Gold Healthy Workplace Award.

The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports gives the award to businesses with outstanding health and wellness programs.

Businesses receiving this award have shown outstanding commitment to the health of their associates by establishing creative worksite health promotion programs with demonstrated success.

DMMI has worked hard to promote a healthy workplace. DMMI retirees, interns, co-ops and associates and their families are encouraged to use the 4,200-square foot Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center. DMMI also offers sponsorships for associates’ external athletic teams, free on-site physicals; supports numerous community activities promoting good health and fitness, and actively promotes healthy living issues and events with associates.
