Company culture
As president of DNMX, I have a unique opportunity to share DENSO’s company culture with many young associates on a daily basis. I am able to appreciate the values of hard work that Mexican associates honor and teach them about the DENSO way—a continuous pursuit of top quality. Through an understanding of these virtues, we strive to create a common consciousness so that we can form one common goal.
To help associates better understand the DENSO way, we place them in small groups. Each group has a supervisor who reports to regular seminars that are designed to help the supervisors profoundly understand the company’s policies and values. The supervisors then reunite with their teams and help them learn how a defect in any product—however great or small—can affect their own lives.
The seminars also serve to provide associates with a voice. Associates are encouraged to identify areas of improvement in their jobs and express questions or concerns about their jobs to their supervisors. In turn, management offers the associates the opportunity to come up with suggestions and solutions to these problems. Together, they work to improve the effi ciency and methodology of the way each job is done.
Once an area of improvement is made, we make sure that the associates receive the recognition they deserve throughout the company. We strongly believe that this is key in promoting and maintaining positive attitudes.
Through this approach we hope to improve quality on a daily basis. It’s the DENSO way.
