I think we’re hatching all the time even though our “eggs” vary in shape and size– hatching the next product advance, wrestling with a quality or delivery issue, racing to get ahead of the customers’ needs and expectations. What makes “hatching” different from sitting? One word – creativity.

We all walk the fine line between the ideal and the practical. But, while we operate in a here-and-now real world, the edge we can bring is our inspiration, our creativity and our willingness to see problems at a new angle.

Our patent award winners are examples of bringing creativity to the job at hand. These patents are not all theoretical; 10 of 11 of these brainstorms are immediately related to a present project.

We can be creative when we really listen to our customers. When we think of possibilities to better satisfy our customer that we as an organization aren’t thinking about yet.
