New President Named

DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee (DMTN) — Masahiko “Mack” Hattori has been named president of DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee (DMTN). Hattori took over in April, succeeding Neal Ozeki.

Previously, Hattori was general manager of Electronics Procurement at DENSO Corporation. This is Hattori’s second DMTN assignment; from 1990 to 1995 he served as procurement manager.

Hattori, who joined DENSO Corporation in 1977 after earning an economics degree from Osaka University, will oversee nearly 2,200 associates in three manufacturing divisions. Product groups include electronic products, instrument namedclusters and display units, starters and alternators.Former DMTN President Neal Ozeki, who assisted Hattori during a presidential transition period, presided over DMTN during a growth period which included increased sales, capital improvements and the transition of the Athens facility into a separate company in 2003. While DMTN president, Ozeki was named Manufacturing Executive of the Year in 2001 for the company’s contributions to business and community in the State of Tennessee.

Ozeki will continue his career in Japan as a board member for DENSO Wave, a DENSO Group company, which is a leading developer of bar code and QR code scanner technology.

“Mack” Hattori was recently named president of DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee.
