DENSO revs up motorsports sponsorships
DENSO Sales California (DSCA)— DENSO continues to get the most mileage out of its sponsorship dollars by reaching a multi-year agreement with NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) for our fuel pump products to join the NASCAR Automotive Licensing program. This agreement means that DENSO’s fuel pump product line can carry the NASCAR Performance® brand on its line of First Time Fit® Fuel Pumps, including advertising and packaging.

DENSO also will serve as a 2006 contingency sponsor for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and NASCAR Craftsman Truck series. DENSO’s aftermarket logo will be displayed on the front fenders of team race vehicles and show cars. In return, DENSO will provide prize money for the top three finishers of each race, provided they have the DENSO logo on their car.

NASCAR is the second most watched spectator sport in the United States, and its fans represent 1/3 of the U.S. population. Of the 116,000 independent repair facilities in the United States, 70 percent of the technicians working in them are NASCAR fans, and these are the people who decide what products to use when making repairs.

“It’s a perfect opportunity to get the DENSO aftermarket brand in front of such a large audience,” said Richard Shiozaki, senior vice president of DSCA.

National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA) race series—Title sponsor of the DENSO Iridium Power Ford Drag Racing Series and supports drivers Larry Geddes, Robin Lawrence and Donnie Walsh, Jr.

National Muscle Car Association—Title sponsor of the Pro Street Class for the fourth consecutive year.

Two-Wheel
Motocross and Drag Racing—DENSO sponsors riders Ivan Tedesco, Stephanie Roncada, Eric Sorby and Matt Walker for Team Pro Circuit Kawasaki in Motocross and driver Keishi Nakamura in drag racing.
