Two million and counting

ASMO North Carolina (ANC)—Two million hours. That’s how long the 431 associates at ANC have worked without having an accident that would cause them to miss work. And that’s why the North Carolina Department of Labor recognized ANC for the second year in a row for its safety efforts.

According to Jeff Stutts, Human Resources manager at ANC, that’s a pretty good record no matter how you look at it.

“Each associate works 2,080 hours a year, so having reached the 2 million hour milestone is evidence that the focus ANC puts on safety in the workplace makes a difference,” said Stutts.

In addition to an international ASMO corporate safety plan, ANC has an internal safety plan, which includes two safety specialists and a nurse practitioner on staff in the workplace.

But ANC associates aren’t resting on their laurels. “We are working on our third million,” said Stutts.
